PresidioArts has been a major exhibitor, for 5 years, at Folk Fest (www.slotinfolkart.com) in Atlanta , the largest folk art show in the country.

The following were some of the artists who exhibited at
Presidio's Folk Art Festival
July 19-20, 2003
which had been attended by 500 visitors.

 

The Lasters,
from Kentucky,
are disciples of Reverend Howard Finster,
who died last year. Rev, Finster, one of the most famous folk artists in the country,
had produced more than 40 thousand pieces of art.
The art from recycled objects that Mike and Kelly make
is influenced by their friend and mentor, Finster.
They will also be displaying their art car.

"Preacherman" Eric Pace
This North Carolina artist's paintings with acrylic on found materials,
reflect his experiences as a motorcycle enthusiast, concrete finisher and evangelist.
his art reflects his recovery from drugs and alcohol and his love for Christ.

One of fifteen folk art paintings brought to America from Cuba

including paintings by noted Cuban folk artist, Vargas.
 

 Vargas was a "one-eyed shoeshine man" in Havana who died recently.
